Purchase of tablet computing devices

This guide sets out the options for purchasing new tablet-style computing devices.

Clarifying device descriptions

A number of different devices may be referred to as a "tablet". These include:

Windows / Linux 2-in-1 computers

These must be purchased via IT by completing the Non-standard Computer purchase request form:

https://leeds.service-now.com/it?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=a649379c0f2f9b40a82247ece1050e25

All other tablet device types

These are not purchased or supported by IT. They should be purchased by your local purchasing / admin team using normal methods such as a Science Warehouse requisition.

Please do not submit an IT ticket to request the purchase of any tablet device other than a Windows / Linux 2-in-1.

Unit price: £89.99 exc. VAT

XMA

Non-Apple devices

There are no preferred suppliers for non-Apple products.
