If you have received a new Windows 11 desktop or laptop, you can reconnect the network drives you were using on your older computer.
Please note, the N:drive should be automatically connected to your new computer running Windows 11. If it is not, please consult the guidance on how to map your shared drive (N Drive) on Windows.
In your current device, connect to the University's Pulse VPN. See the IT article to help you get connected to the University VPN. If you are using a desktop, you should be connected to the VPN by default if you are onsite at the University and connected to the wired network.
Open the folder explorer and find 'Computer' on the left-hand side menu. The network path will be available, and you need to add the username at the end of the path. In the example below, the path is 'ds.leeds.ac.uk\staff\staff3\uitsmuk' where 'uitsmuk' is the username (please note the username in your device might be different than the example below).

If you do not have Pulse VPN installed on your Windows 11 device, please download this software from the Company Portal by following these instructions.
Open the folder explorer and find 'This PC' on the left-hand side menu. Select the three dots at the top of the window and click on 'Map network drive'.
A pop-up window will appear. If not already selected, in the 'Drive' field drop-down, select the accurate letter for the drive. In the 'Folder' field, provide the drive path and click on 'Finish'. Repeat these steps if you have more than one network drive.
