Logging into Mendeley with Duo MFA

When attempting to log into the Mendeley Reference Manager application on a computer, you may be presented with an empty Duo authentication popup meaning that you are unable to complete login.

In this case, you will need to add a password to your institutional account so you can access Mendeley using your email address and password.
Please use the following steps to connect your Leeds credential to a new or existing Mendeley account:
Add a password first. 
  1. Go to your Settings.
  2. Sign in Using your Leeds account:
  3. Add password:
  4. You will need to confirm that you're the owner of the mailbox:
  5. Add a password:
Once you have your password:
  1. Go to Mendeley.com and log out if you are signed in.
  2. Click the 'Sign In' link.
  3. Sign in with your institutional (Shibboleth) credentials.
  4. When prompted, type your existing Mendeley or Elsevier account email address and click 'Continue'.
  5. Enter your account password and choose 'Continue and connect'.

    You may now use Mendeley Reference Manager and log in using your email address and password.
