Overnight on Monday 14 March the University detected a cyber-security incident and we acted swiftly to protect University systems and information.
We temporarily shut down a number of services so that they could be updated. No systems were compromised during the incident.
We prioritised restoration of services following engagement with the service owners and most services have now been restored. Please check the list of affected services for the latest information (you must be logged in to view this page).
As an additional security measure, we also asked all our staff and students to change their passwords, this includes passwords for project and shared accounts. If you need help to change your password, please check the 'how to change your password' page.
We appreciate the inconvenience this has caused, but it is essential to ensure the University remains secure. We would like to thank everyone for their patience and support while we are dealing with this incident.
