If you have ABBYY installed on your university PC (not through the VWD) and get a pop-up message stating that the license needs to be reactivated please follow the below steps to activate this.
Uninstalling and reinstalling ABBYY from the Software Center usually resolves this issue by picking up the license again.

If you are working offsite you will first need to connect to the university VPN before you will be able to uninstall and reinstall ABBYY from the Software Center.

Once connected to the VPN please try uninstalling and reinstalling ABBYY in the following way:

If working onsite on a networked PC you do not need to connect to the VPN, please follow the below steps to uninstall and reinstall ABBYY. Please note if you are working on campus and are not connected to the wired network and are instead connected to Eduroam you will need to connect to the university VPN before proceeding (steps above).
If after completing the above steps you still receive the message asking for license activation, please log a general request through it.leeds.ac.uk with your PC name and mention in the request that you have taken these steps.
