This article applies to anyone who records Microsoft Teams meetings.
Only the meeting organiser or the person who has clicked record can delete the recording.
Only the meeting organiser can delete the transcript.
Transcripts can be viewed from two places:
Because the transcript can be viewed from two different locations it means that if you would like to delete a transcript you must delete it from both locations separately.

Open Teams
Click calendar
Click into the meeting
Click the Transcript tab (you will only see this if you are the meeting organisier)
Delete
NB: If the meeting took place in a Team Channel you cannot see the transcription tab if you open the meeting from within the Team but you can if you open it from within your Teams calendar (as above).
In the Teams channel where the meeting took place click the three dots next to the recording.
Open.
This will open the recording in SharePoint in a new browser window.
Click Video Settings in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Expand the Transcript and Captions option.
Click the Rubbish Bin icon (delete button).
Click Delete to confirm.
In Teams navigate to your calendar.
Click into the meeting where the recording took place.
In the Details tab click on the recording icon.
This will open the recording in OneDrive in a new browser window.
Click Video Settings in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Expand the Transcript and Captions option.
Click the Rubbish Bin icon (delete button).
Click Delete to confirm.
Teams meeting recordings must be deleted from SharePoint (if it was a Channel Meeting) or OneDrive (if it was a Standard Meeting). Whilst you can view a recording from within the meeting invite in the Teams calendar, you cannot delete the recording from there.
For Channel Meeting recordings, owners of the Team where the meeting took place and the person who clicked record are able to delete the recording.
In Teams navigate to the Team and then the Channel where the meeting took place.
Click the files tab in that channel and select the Recordings folder followed by the View Only folder.
Tick next to the recording you want to delete and click delete on the toolbar.
Click delete again to confirm.
For Standard Meeting recordings, only the owner of the recording (the person who clicked record) can delete the recording as it is saved in their OneDrive.
In Teams navigate to your calendar.
Click into the meeting where the recording took place.
In the Details tab click on the recording icon.
This will open the recording in OneDrive in a new browser window.
Click the three dots at the top and then delete.
Click delete again to confirm.
