Around 90 teaching rooms are equipped with live streaming capability across campus. This will allow teaching delivery to both in-room and remote online students synchronously.
Online students will watch a live feed of teaching shared through a virtual classroom chosen by their tutor (Microsoft Teams, Collaborate Ultra or Zoom).
Live Streaming
If a teaching activity on your University timetable has an online element you may see the following activity type mentioned:
- LIVE STREAMING = this means the tutor will be live streaming the activity and will provide you with information on whether you will join in-person or online closer to the start of teaching.
- LIVE STREAMING – ONLINE = this means you will be attending the activity online. Your tutor will provide you with information on how to join the online session closer to the start of teaching.
- MULTI-MODE = this means the tutor will be delivering multi-modal teaching to both in-room and on-line students, they will provide you with information on whether you will join in-person or online closer to the start of teaching.
- MULTI-MODE – ONLINE = this means you will be attending the activity online. Your tutor will provide you with information on how to join the online session closer to the start of teaching.
- ONLINE LIVE – see Minerva = this will be live activity that you will attend at the time shown on your timetable, you will be provided further information on how to access this teaching by your tutor through Minerva closer to the start of teaching.
- ONLINE – see Minerva = you will be provided further information on how to access this teaching by your tutor through Minerva closer to the start of teaching.
- ONLINE - Pre-recorded = this is a recommended time for you to engage with teaching that is not live to ensure you are prepared for any subsequent live sessions for that module. You can choose to access this in your own time, but it is important that you stay up-to-date with all teaching that is not live. Some modules you are studying may not show recommended times for Pre-Recorded content; instead, the Module Manager will communicate with you to make sure you understand you need to access this teaching in your own time.
