Live Streaming from Teaching Spaces - Staff Guide

Around 90 teaching rooms have been equipped with live streaming capability across campus. This allows teaching delivery to both in-room and remote online students synchronously and primarily allows one-way delivery of teaching content. Online students will watch a live feed of teaching shared through one of the three University virtual classrooms the tutor choses to use (Microsoft Teams, Collaborate Ultra or Zoom).

What happens if my online students have technical difficulties?

Students are advised to troubleshoot their technical issues by searching online. The following sites provide comprehensive guidance:

If they are still unable to resolve the technical issues they are experiencing, then they have been advised that they should use the Something Broken link on this website.

In-room students are also advised to troubleshoot using the same online resources or to visit the IT helpdesk on campus for assistance.
