White Rose eTheses Online (WREO)

White Rose eTheses Online (WREO) is a shared repository of electronic theses, mostly at doctoral level, from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.

How can I access / download items from WREO?

Each item has a repository record page with information about that item. If it is available to download, there will be a link on that page to let you download this directly to your device. Some items are restricted (embargoed). For some restricted items, there is a 'Request a Copy' function that contacts the author to provide a copy.

How can I add my thesis to WREO?

University of Leeds authors should create an account in WREO https://etheses.whiterose.ac.uk/cgi/register and add the required information about their thesis. When prompted, upload the full-text. This will then be validated by the University and made live in WREO. Authors from the Universities of Sheffield and York can find information on how to deposit at: https://etheses.whiterose.ac.uk/deposit.html

How are theses in WREO discoverable?

WREO can be searched itself to find content. It also feeds content and information into other systems that make the theses in WREO findable (e.g. search engines, library catalogues, Google Scholar, CORE, EThOS etc.).
