White Rose Research Online (WRRO)

White Rose Research Online (WRRO) is a shared repository of open access research outputs produced by the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. It contains author-supplied versions of research outputs (e.g. journal articles, conference papers, book chapters).

How can I access / download items from WRRO?

Each item has a repository record page with information about that item. If it is available to download, there will be a link on that page to let you download this directly to your device. Some items are restricted (embargoed). For some restricted items, there is a 'Request a Copy' function that contacts the author to provide a copy.

How can I add my research to WRRO?

University of Leeds authors should log in to https://publications.leeds.ac.uk/ and create a record for their research output. When prompted, upload the full-text. This will then be validated by the Library and made live in WRRO. Authors from the Universities of Sheffield and York can find information on how to deposit at: https://eprints.whiterose.ac.uk/information.html .

How is research in WRRO discoverable?

WRRO can be searched itself to find content. It also feeds content and information into other systems that make the research output in WRRO findable (e.g. search engines, library catalogues, Google Scholar, CORE, PubMed etc.).
