Reading Lists: Reports


This article is for Library staff working on Reading Lists, and describes the reports available in the Dashboard.

Access 

To access the reports, open the Reading Lists Dashboard http://library.leeds.ac.uk/rlistsdash and follow the link "Reports: schools/modules/lists/items/reminders." Library Reading Lists staff will have access through their own desktop PCs, or through the Virtual Windows Desktop. 

General

Schools 

Faculty and school report 

Numbers of reading lists for each school 

For a given session code, this returns a list of schools, grouped by faculty, split up by semester, with totals for all semesters. There are counts of: 

Subtracting Modules with reading lists from Modules running gives the number of modules with no reading list 

Further subtracting Modules notified having no list gives the number of modules with no list, but no notification to the Library

Module report 

Numbers of reading lists for each module, with other module data  

For a given session this returns a list of modules, with:

Lists

Weekly activity 

Weekly counts of incoming reading lists, and of edits and completed lists by the Library 

For a given session, this returns from the start of the session until now, weekly totals of reading lists received from tutors, edited by the Library, and completed by the Library, and the average number of days it takes for the Library to complete work on a new list received.

There are also figures for the corresponding week last session, and totals so far for this session (and for the last session up to the corresponding point in the session):

Content summaries 

Details on each reading list 

For a given session, this returns a list of all reading lists along with data about the list and its contents:

Not showing to students 

Details on each reading list which is not showing to students - either because it has never been published, or because it has been cloaked 

This is a similar report to Content summaries (above) except that it only shows reading lists which either: 

Items 

LMS record IDs linked from lists 

Individual records in Alma that are linked to from reading lists 

List of Alma record IDs which are linked to from reading lists - optionally limited by importance of paragraph containing link, and how near the top of the reading list it is. Two options: Permanent only shows records linked from Primo Permalinks, and Search only shows records linked from Primo searches. 

Sorted by the total number of occurrences (most first), and showing:

Reading lists or modules that link to a particular resource or resources 

There are two options for this report. In both cases, an Alma record number, or an ISBS/ISSN, or a comma-separated list of record numbers/ISNs must be supplied, and (optionally) high near the top of the reading lists to look.

All links in all reading lists that have been tagged Core or Student to purchase
