Microsoft PowerPoint is a presentation tool by Microsoft. It is one of the office productivity applications included in the Microsoft Office suite.
It is available for Microsoft Windows, Apple macOS, Android, Apple IOS and on Linux using WINE.
Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to create presentations to convey ideas and concepts to your audience. It includes features including spell check, grammar check, text and font formatting, HTML support and image support.
There are a number of tools to use during presentations, including simultaneous notes and slides view for two-screen computers or laptops plugged into an external projector, drawing tools and virtual laser pointers. Presentations can be rehearsed and timed.
Microsoft PowerPoint is available to all University staff and students.
You can access Microsoft PowerPoint on your University device by searching for ‘PowerPoint’ in the start bar on your device. You can also use PowerPoint online by logging into the Office 365 portal, clicking on all apps and selecting PowerPoint from there.
Microsoft PowerPoint training is available via LinkedIn Learning and is free for all staff and students.
