GIMP


What is it?

GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

Where is it available?

GIMP is available on the Cluster Desktop, the Virtual Windows Desktop (via AppsAnywhere) and for installation on networked computers via the Software Center - see the 'How to install software to your work PC via the Software Center' article. Installation on non-networked computers is available via the Request Software link.

University staff and students can obtain the software for home installation for free fromĀ GIMP Download.

GIMP is available for Windows, Linux and Mac.
