What is it?

VLC Media Player is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player and framework that plays most multimedia files as well as DVDs, Audio CDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols.

Where is it available?

VLC Media Player is available via AppsAnywhere on the Cluster Desktop, Virtual Windows Desktop and both University and Personal devices. 

VLC Media Player is not available via AppsAnywhere for macOS or Linux devices, but can be downloaded via the VLC Media Player website.

For University-owned macOS and Linux devices, please request for this to be installed via IT (see related requests).
