MapBasic


What is it?  

MapBasic is a programming language for creation of additional tools and functionality for the MapInfo Pro geographic information system. MapBasic is based on the BASIC family of programming languages.

Where is it available?

MapBasic is available on the Cluster Desktop, the Virtual Windows Desktop (via AppsAnywhere) and for installation on networked computers via the Software Center - see the 'How to install software to your work PC via the Software Center' article. Installation on non-networked computers is available via the Request Software link.

University staff and students can obtain the software for home installation for free from Pitney Bowes.
