This article explains how to reset your University of Leeds password or unlock your account using Self Service Password Reset (SSPR).
If you use multiple devices (e.g. laptop, mobile phone, tablet), each one may still attempt to connect using your old password. This can immediately lock your account again.
Before resetting or unlocking your password:
If you are registered for SSPR, follow these steps:
Visit https://aka.ms/sspr or click the Password Reset link.
Click Next to continue.

You will be prompted to:
Important: Your new password must follow University password guidelines.
After completion, you will see confirmation that the password has been reset. Close your browser.
If your account is locked due to too many incorrect login attempts:
Visit https://aka.ms/sspr or click the Password Reset link.
Click Next.
Self service password reset will request any two verification methods you registered.
Once verified, you will see confirmation that your account has been successfully unlocked. Close your browser afterwards.

You cannot reset or unlock your password using SSPR. Contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
A device may still be trying to connect using an old saved password, especially via eduroam. Remove saved passwords on all devices first.
