As a current member of staff or a University student, you can register to use the Self-Service Password Reset (SSPR) facility to reset your password and unlock your account yourself. Once registered, you will not need to contact the IT Service Desk if you need to reset your password or unlock your account.

Before you can use SSPR you have to set your authentication methods, which will be at least 2 from the following 3 options:

• a mobile phone - a personal or University issued device that only you have access to (to receive a verification text message or phone call)
• an alternate email address - a non-University email address that only you have access to (to receive a verification email)
• security questions and answers

Please note that unless you have registered these details in advance, you cannot use SSPR to reset your forgotten password or unlock your account.
