Scanning on MyPrint


All MyPrint printers can also scan documents. You can scan to your university email address, your M: drive or to OneDrive.

Scanning is much more environmentally friendly than copying.

Log in to the MyPrint printer. 

Place your original face down on the glass, or face up in the document feeder (if present).

Select Scan on the screen.

Scan to Home

This will save your document on your university M: drive (this is your private storage space at the university) in a directory called Scans.

You can see the M: drive in Explorer when you are logged in to the Virtual Windows Desktop, a Library/Cluster computer, or a staff PC.

The file size limit for "Scan to Home" scans is 50MB.

You can change the filename, and alter the scan settings.

Tap Start.

Scan to My Email

This will send your document to your university email address.

The file size limit for "Scan to My Email" scans is 20mb. If you are scanning a lot of pages consider using the "Scan to Home" option.

You can change the email subject, the filename, and alter the scan settings.

Scan to OneDrive

This will save your document to your university OneDrive in a folder under Apps called Scans for PaperCut MF. 

You can access your OneDrive from https://office365.leeds.ac.uk.

The MyPrint service needs to be granted specific permissions to save documents to OneDrive, so the very first time you use this option you will receive an email titled "Authorize Scans for PaperCut MF to save to your OneDrive for Business" which explains what you need to do.

You can change the filename, and alter the scan settings.
