From the Apple Menu, select System Preferences. Then select the Sharing icon.

In the Sharing window, please make sure that the checkbox in front of File Sharing in the left-hand column does not contain a check mark. If it does, please click the box to remove it. This will disable file sharing on your Mac, which will make it more secure.
