Connect on Windows

Follow these instructions to connect your Windows device to the eduroam wireless network.

Windows 10 is now installed on most laptops, but the process is similar for other versions of Windows. For Windows 7 (which is currently installed on University laptops), please scroll down.

Windows 10

Select the Wi-Fi icon on the Windows taskbar. Select eduroam from the list of available networks.

Click on Connect.

Enter your username and password in the following format:

NOTE: If you are on the ADMIN Domain, enter your username in the format:

You will see another window asking if you wish to continue connecting, then click Connect

Your device will then configure the settings and will show that you are connected. It should then connect automatically in the future.

Windows 7

Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the lower right corner of the screen (near the clock) and select 'eduroam' from the list of available networks.

Enter your username and password, entering your username in the following format: followed by your usual University password and select Join to continue.

NOTE: If you are on the ADMIN Domain, enter your username in the format:

The certificate verification window (Windows Security Alert) should then appear. This is normal. Please click 'Connect'

When connected successfully, you should see Connected next to eduroam in your list of wireless networks. Your computer should then connect automatically from now on.
