The Information Security Advanced training course is
temporarily unavailable whilst the content is being updated in line with the
requirements of the GDPR and new data protection legislation. (Updated May 2018)
You will be notified through Central Communications when
the training is next available. Apologies for any inconvenience.
When the course is available, the instructions below are a quick guide showing how you can access it.
To access the training, follow the link to login to Minerva.
If this does not work, please click on the Teach tab (in the top right). Click Organisations and then click on Information Security Advanced.
Then click on Start Advanced Training.
You have six weeks in which to complete the training. If you do not complete the training in one session, the course will remember how many modules you have completed when you next access it.
You need to take the test at the end of your training, and score 70% or above to pass. If you do not achieve 70% or more in the test your record will remain incomplete within SAP and you will have to retake the test.
Checking your SAP record
You training record may take 24 hours to be updated. You will be able to check your training record by logging in to SAP
ESS/MSS (employee self-service) . Choose Work Information then Work Profile.
Click the Training tab (you may need to scroll down). If you can see Information Security Awareness Advanced and it has an End Date, you have completed the training (which must be redone every year).
Note: If you are an ADMIN user, you may have another account you can use (on the DS domain). If you are unsure about this, or have difficulties logging in, please contact the IT Service Desk.
