The following instructions show how to setup Office 365 on a Windows Phone. This tutorial was created using Windows Phone 8.1 but the process should be similar for recent versions of the operating system.
From your home screen, swipe down from the top and then tap on All Settings. Then scroll down to email+accounts. Then click on add an account.
Tap on Exchange.
Enter your full e-mail address and usual university password. Windows will search for the settings automatically, but in this case was unable to find them. If this happens, click on Continue or Edit Details.
In the Username field, enter your university username in the forma firstname.lastname@example.org. Leave the Domain field blank.
Windows should then search for the settings automatically, and you will then be able to access your e-mail from a tile on the home screen. Your e-mail is now configured.
