Classroom-based IT courses

Our classroom-based courses are free* to all University staff and take place in the IT Training Rooms, on level 6 E C Stoner building. You can book any of the courses online at http://www.leeds.ac.uk/staffdevelopment

Search for the course you want, view the syllabus and information about the course, and book online. Use the links below to go straight to the online bookings.

When you've booked you'll:

  • get an email saying we've received your booking;
  • get a second email confirming your place. You place isn't guaranteed until you receive this email. This may also contain links to course materials and anything you might need to do before, so please read it carefully.

*For courses in ArcGIS and MapInfo Professional see the University online store. These courses cost £45 for post-graduates and £90 for academics.

New to the University?

New to computers?

If you are new to computers, the Logik Centre runs introductory IT courses.

You can access free technology training resources including computer basics, Microsoft Office and Apple via http://www.gcflearnfree.org/computers

Non-attendance

Although our courses are free, you'll be charged if you don't attend a course without providing two working days notice. You'll need to give a departmental account number on your booking form, but it will only be used if you don't attend. (Please contact your department for more information about account numbers)
