Mediasite Upgrade (July 2018)

Mediasite (part of the Lecture Capture and Media Management service) has been upgraded to improve the user experience and system performance. This page provides more information about this update.

Our previous version of the Mediasite software was introduced in 2014 and since then we have reached almost 2 million views per year. The new version offers an enhanced user experience that is more mobile-friendly, as well as addressing some recent problems with performance and searching for content.

Mediasite 7.2 also offers several new features (such as the ability to embed quizzes into videos) and new ways to collaborate and comment on content. However, these features will be not be available at launch and will be introduced in several stages to ensure that users have time to familiarise themselves with the update. More information about this will be communicated in due course.
